| Volkswagen Golf VII Variant |
Volkswagen is hard at work to extend the new Golf VII family, and next in line is the Wagon version (a.k.a. ‘Variant’), that our photographers have spotted during a hot weather testing in Southern Europe. Looking at these photos we can see that the new Golf Variant is almost aiming at the VW Passat in terms of size: it just looks really huge, doesn’t it?
Anyway, the next Golf Variant will share the platform and drivetrains with the ‘regular’ Golf hatch, and hopefully we will also get to see a ‘GTI’ and a ‘R’ version of this body-type. The official unveiling of the model could happen at the next Geneva Motor Show in March 2013, but chances are we will get to know the final version of the car the following September at the IAA in Frankfurt, Germany.
