Some reader may remember the Renault Scenic RX, a sort of 4WD off-road version of the first generation Renault Scenic from the beginning of year 2000 that surely did not come up as one of the most gracious cars out there at that time. Now it seems that Renault will offer the new Scenic in a similar variant, but slightly toned down. Where the RX had its spare wheel mounted at the back of the car and offered four-wheel-drive, the new version will just have robust looking bumpers, wider wheel arches and a slightly raised suspension. Since the “Cross” look is getting more and more popular, with many manufactures expanding their line-ups with ‘Cross’ or ‘Allroad’ versions of their models, the French carmaker is now ready to jump on that train as well with the car we can see in these spy shots. We can expect a debut in March 2013 a the next Geneva Motor Show.
