2013 VW Golf Plus LIFE Edition |
European drivers will soon be able to add to the 850,000 Golf owners already on the roads with the arrival of the new Golf Plus LIFE. When it’s released in 2013, this special model will come with a comprehensive range of features that would cost thousands to add to the S or SE variants.
Features like automatic climate control, heated front seats and Park Assist, which parallel parks whilst your hands are off the wheel, are standard. High comfort seats with lumbar support and central armrests make the Plus LIFE a good place to spend a few hours on the motorway and the leather cover multi-function steering wheel gives the cabin a quality feel. With 16-inch alloys and tinted side and rear windows, the feel of luxury continues on the outside.
VW are pricing the entry-level 1.4 at €21,200, that’s around £17,400 at the current exchange rate. We think that the price will increase for the UK market, as the one quoted on VW’s press release is just £600 more than the entry level Plus S, which only has half of the features offered here. If the German marque can keep the car below £18,000 it’s likely to steal sales from rivals like the Ford C-Max.
